This page informs you of MultiChords, a mobile application, privacy policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. We use your Personal Information for providing and improving the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions

1. Information Collection

Your username and email address: If you log into MultiChords with a social networking credential, such as with your Facebook or Google account, we will ask permission to access basic information from that account, such as your name and email address. You can stop sharing that information with us at any time by removing MultiChords’s access to that account.

2. Automatic Data Collection and Advertising

Certain data about the devices you use to connect with MultiChords and your use of the Site, Software, and/or Services are automatically logged in our systems, including:

a) Location information: This is the geographic area where you use your computer and mobile devices (as indicated by an Internet Protocol (IP) address or similar identifier) when interacting with our Site, Software, and/or Services.

b) Device information: This is data from your computer or mobile device, such as the type of hardware and software you are using (for example, your operating system), as well as unique device identifiers for devices that are using our app, or services.

c) Usage information. This is information about the MultiChords Software, and/or Services you use and how you use them. We may also obtain data from our third-party partners and service providers to analyze how users use our Site, Software, and/or Services. For example, we will know how many users access a specific page on the software. We use this aggregated information to better understand and optimize the software.

We work with advertisers and third party advertising networks, who need to know how you interact with advertising provided in the Application which helps us keep the cost of the Application low. Advertisers and advertising networks may access some of the information collected by the Application, including, but not limited to, the unique identification ID of your mobile device and geographical information, for advertising related use. If you’d like to opt-out from third party use of this type of information to help serve targeted advertising, please visit the section entitled “Opt-out” below.

3. Information use

We use, process, and store your Information as necessary to perform our contract with you and for our legitimate business interests, including:

a) To help us provide and administer our Site, Software, and/or Services, authenticate users for security purposes, provide personalized user features and access, process transactions, conduct research, develop new features, and improve the features, algorithms, and usability of our Site, Software, and/or Services.

b) To communicate with you about your use of our Site, Software, and/or Services, product announcements, and software updates, as well as respond to your requests for assistance, including providing account verification support if you’re having difficulty accessing your account.

c) To send you direct marketing emails and special offers about MultiChords, from which you can unsubscribe at any time. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, or the UK, we will only send you marketing information if you consent to us doing so at the time you create your account or any point thereafter.

d) To display User Content associated with your account and make sure it is available to you when you use our Services.

e) To calculate aggregate statistics on the number of unique devices using our Site, Software, and/or Services, and to detect and prevent fraud and misuse of those.

4. Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, in order to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Information we have collected from you.

5. International Transfer

Your information, including Personal Information, may be transferred to - and maintained on - computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

6. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, We immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.

7. Opt-out Rights

a) Opt out of Ad Tracking and Targeting
For opt-out of ad tracking and targeting, you should preferably consult your device settings and instructions provided by the device manufacturer. When you opt out, you'll still see ads, they just won't be based on topics that you like, your visits to advertisers' websites or demographics. Instead, they'll be based on factors such as the content of the page or your general location. Below is exemplary information solely for informational purposes for which we disclaim any warranty or representation that the opt-out methods will work or that they are most current.

i. Android Example
- Open your "Settings" app.
- Locate and tap "Google"
- Select "Ads"
- First of all, click "Reset Advertising ID"
- Turn ON "Opt out of Ads Personalization"

ii. Apple iOS Example
On iOS version 14 and later only:
You may withdraw your consent by disabling the “Allow Apps to Request to Track” setting in your iOS settings (precise directions may be different on different iOS versions).”

On iOS version 13 and earlier only:
- Opt-out of ads targeted based on location.
Open “Settings”, tapping “Privacy,” tapping “Location Services”, tapping “System Services”, and sliding the Location-Based iAds switch to “off”.

- Opt-out of targeted advertising.
Open “Settings”, tap on “Privacy”, then “Advertising”, and set Limit Ad Tracking to “on”.

- To reset your Advertising Identifier on iOS.
Open “Settings”, tap “Privacy”, tap “Advertising”, and tap “Reset Advertising Identifier”.

b) Request Deletion
You may request the deletion of the personal information that we may have about you, any time. Note that if your information is deleted, then your account may become deactivated. If your account is deactivated or you ask to close your account, you will no longer be able to use the Service. If you would like to close your account in our system, please email us at support@multichords.com. You will be required to verify your identity before we fulfill your request. We value your privacy and will not discriminate in response to your exercise of privacy rights. We will respond to your request within 30 days of receipt of your request, after proper verification, unless we need additional time, in which case we will let you know.

c) Opt-out from MultiChords email
You might be added to our mailing list and have been receiving emails, if you have given your consent during the sign up process; subscriptions to the mailing list can be cancelled at any time. You may opt out of such communications at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link found within the email.

8. Changes To This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of January 13, 2020 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page. We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
